INTCO Medical’s 11.2MW Wind Power Project Successfully Connected to Grid
On July 2nd, INTCO Medical Products Co., Ltd. in Anhui successfully connected its 11.2MW self-generated wind power project to the grid. This clean energy project is now officially operational, marking a significant step forward in INTCO Medical’s commitment to green, low-carbon transformation and sustainable factory development.
Located in the Suixi-Wu Industrial Park in Huaibei, Anhui Province, the project was independently invested in and built by INTCO Medical Anhui. It features two wind turbines, each with a capacity of 5.6MW and a hub height of 140 meters. The project is designed to deliver approximately 20,718 MWh of electricity to the grid annually, with an estimated 1,849.8 full-load hours per year. It will effectively meet the plant’s energy needs through local generation and utilization of renewable wind power.
As China’s largest manufacturer of non-latex disposable gloves, INTCO Medical is committed to upgrading its manufacturing systems toward intelligent and eco-friendly operations. This wind power project marks an important milestone in the company’s exploration of renewable energy, representing tangible action in support of China’s “dual carbon” goals.
According to feasibility reports, the project is expected to save approximately 6,246.5 tons of standard coal annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 17,154.5 tons, sulfur dioxide emissions by 2.1 tons, and nitrogen oxide emissions by 3.1 tons. This significantly reduces the environmental pressure caused by fossil fuel usage and enhances INTCO’s overall efficiency in clean production and carbon reduction.
The successful operation of the Anhui wind power project increases the proportion of clean energy used by INTCO and represents a practical step in building a greener manufacturing system. It offers a replicable model for clean energy application in the medical manufacturing sector.
Looking ahead, INTCO Medical will continue to focus on advancing its core medical protection business while expanding its efforts in renewable energy and carbon footprint management. By integrating green energy with smart manufacturing, the company aims to develop a more sustainable, efficient, and environmentally friendly production base—starting with this project and extending further into the future of green industrial transformation.
