Table of Contents

From June 14 to 15, 16 outstanding students from Tsinghua University and Peking University visited INTCO for an OpenDay event themed “Exploring Smart Manufacturing, Discovering INTCO’s Future.” Over the course of two days, INTCO designed a series of immersive tours and in-depth exchanges, giving students a firsthand experience of modern smart manufacturing and corporate innovation.

Immersive Experiences: From Office Spaces to Production Lines

The event began with a visit to the eco-friendly office areas of INTCO Medical and INTCO Recycling. These workspaces integrate low-carbon design, open-plan concepts, smart control systems, energy-efficient lighting, and silent meeting pods, embodying INTCO’s commitment to sustainable work environments. Led by INTCO staff, students experienced the company’s efficient operations and the technologies driving smart workplaces.

During their tour of the nitrile glove production line at INTCO Medical, students witnessed the entire manufacturing process—from raw material mixing and glove dipping to drying, quality inspection, and final packaging. The streamlined operations and integrated digital systems showcased INTCO’s leadership in intelligent, large-scale medical supply production. At the R&D center, students even made disposable gloves themselves, gaining hands-on insight into industrial precision and craftsmanship.

In another session, students participated in the “INTCO Recycling Photo Frame Craft” experience, where they learned about the transformation from recycled plastic to finished products. This blend of environmental protection, artistic creativity, and industrial design sparked fresh inspiration for green manufacturing.

The “Digital Automation” sharing session offered students a deeper understanding of smart manufacturing. INTCO’s automation director explained the logic behind industrial automation and how data drives efficiency and quality across production lines, helping students visualize the concept of a “future factory.”

Close Encounters with Executives: Dialogue on Globalization and Talent Strategy

The “Executive Roundtable” was a major highlight. INTCO executives engaged in a discussion with students on “The Globalization Path of Chinese Enterprises,” sharing how INTCO Medical and INTCO Recycling leverage innovation and strategy to expand globally. They also introduced INTCO’s “Elite Talent Program,” a career development initiative for graduates of top global universities.

Cultural Integration: From Industry to Zibo’s Local Cuisine

Beyond the factory floor, students enjoyed a cultural experience with Zibo’s signature BBQ. In a casual evening atmosphere, they tasted local favorites like grilled meat in pancakes, experiencing the flavors and warmth of Shandong cuisine. From robotic arms to charcoal grills, the fusion of automation and tradition made for a meaningful and memorable connection.

This OpenDay event not only bridged the gap between youth and industry, but also reinforced INTCO’s commitment to attracting top talent into smart manufacturing. Moving forward, INTCO will continue to create open platforms for young professionals to explore and shape the future of Chinese manufacturing.
